At Serenity Financial Planning, we are always up-front about fees. The value we offer brings clarity and confidence. When we meet with you, we will be learning about your financial goals, analyzing your situation and implementing strategies customized just for you. Whether it’s a more comprehensive financial plan or a specific planning need, our services always align with your current priorities. Although every client has a different need, the vast majority of our clients are best served when they elect to be "Planner Clients" (see below), we will work with you to determine which of the following three models best suits you. 

Planner Client


Planner Clients are ready to clarify, simplify and organize their financial life. They see the value in collaborating with experienced Financial Planners to take a holistic approach to defining goals, analyzing options, making informed decisions, and implementing strategies to strive towards their financial goals.

Planner Clients collaborate with us on an ongoing basis to stay informed, access expertise, and make adjustments as changes in finances, laws, and life occur.


For Planner Clients, we design and implement an integrated financial plan covering selected aspects of their financial life, which can include:

Planner Clients work with us, initially and over time, to manage and maintain their financial plan through ongoing communication and collaboration that reflects changes in their life, planning strategies, the laws, and the investment markets.


Minimum investable assets: $0

Financial Plan fee: * Initial Plan (excludes Asset Management) Start at $1,500 depending on the situation, complexity, and the number of hours we anticipate spending with you.

Plan is delivered in 30-90 days from initial payment

Investment management advisor fees are an additional cost ranging from 1%-2% annually, varying with platform and investment structure.

Investor Client


Investor Clients seek professional knowledge, expertise, and support to align their investment strategy with their financial goals.

Investor Clients see the value in collaborating with experienced advisors to design, implement and manage an investment strategy, including investment research, analysis, and selection.

Investment Clients view professional management as a way to pursue investment objectives while freeing up valued personal time.


For Investor Clients, we design and implement an investment strategy appropriate to their situation, risk tolerance, and goals.

Investor Clients receive ongoing investment management guidance and service which can include:

  • Investment goals
  • Risk tolerance
  • Investment strategy
  • Investment research
  • Investment selection

Clients experience support and communication as it relates to investment management.

Important to this process is a qualitative discussion regarding client risk parameters. We follow a regular cycle to implement and monitor client investments.


Minimum investable assets: $250,000

Investment management advisor fees range from 1%-2% annually, varying with platform and investment structure.

Financial planning services are not included, however certain engagements may include targeted financial advice.

Situational Client


Situational Clients seek targeted strategies to specified goals or situations.

Situational Clients work with us on a limited basis to seek guidance on the most appropriate strategies for their circumstances and goals, which can include:

  • Investing strategy (one-time)
  • Inheritance planning
  • Estate settlement assistance
  • Life insurance
  • Long-term care
  • Disability protection


Situational Clients receive guidance, advice, and service related to their specifically defined needs and concerns.

Ongoing service and support is provided as it relates only to the work performed. Additional services, outside of scope of work defined, will be determined separately, as requested or recommended.

Investment management and financial planning services are available separately.


Strategies will be selected based on client situation and needs.

Project Fees: Services may be fee or commission based, depending on the strategy provided.

Hourly Consulting:
For focused and customized financial advice,
our hourly consulting rates are available on an
as needed basis - $250/hour

Continued Financial Planning- without Asset Management:
After your financial plan is delivered, continue to engage with us to monitor, and implement your financial plan

Financial document storage
Access for questions regarding your financial plan
*For updates, maintenance, or new version of your financial plan, start at the hourly consulting rate of $250/hour.
